GPI helps companies avoid facing the complex issues and high costs surrounding employee injury.
Meet Our Team
Brad strives to build and maintain meaningful relationships with his clients. He works with customers as if they are business partners, getting involved in every aspect of their safety program. Brad takes pride in the fact that many of his current customers have been with Gloves Plus since the infancy of the company. In 2002 he partnered with Candice Shealy, and together they maintain a familial atmosphere within the company — an initiative they believe positively impacts both employees and clients.
Brad and his wife of 29 years, Gayle, have an extensive family: two sons (James and Ryan), a daughter-in-law (Jenna) and a granddaughter (Harper). Brad enjoys fishing, golfing, and attending high school and college football games.
Before joining the GPI team, Candice worked at BI-LO for sixteen years. Over those years she worked her way up to the corporate buying department, where she was responsible for 230+ stores in North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. That experience made her aware of the importance of keeping customers happy, something she has sought to do since partnering with Brad Thurn in 2002. She believes Gloves Plus provides an exceptional service at a competitive price, something that wouldn’t be possible without an outstanding team.
Candice has been married to her high school sweetheart, Dale, for 37 years. Together they have three children: their daughter Casey, son-in-law Brandon and son Clay. In October 2019 she welcomed her 1st grandchild. Candice enjoys spending time with her family, attending Clemson football games and spending time at the beach and lake.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Mike has been a proud member of the GPI team since 2005. Before coming to Gloves Plus, Mike worked in the freight/distribution sector for 35 years. Seven of those years were with a family freight business, while another 27 were spent as a supervisor for Michelin tire distribution.
